The Lost Keys and Special Guest: The Lost Keys are a New York City-based a cappella group. Founded in 2011 by alumni of William and Mary DoubleTake and the Bucknell Silhouettes, the group now features fourteen performers with unique backgrounds and interests.
My Left Tit: My Left Tit formed in 1982 when the first band member, Lord Blah Blah, was released from his mother's womb. MLT is an acquired taste, inspired by Michael Jackson, Fisherspooner, Rhianna, Britney Spears, and Enya. Basically a rock/folk/classical/rap band (genre "Rolk-Crap") with a bit of Renaissance flair. The band booked their first show without ever having written a song, mostly accredited to the inspiring email that band booker/member Regina Vagina sent to the venue, which spoke of life, love and the pursuit of happiness. MLT's goal is to inspire: "We want people to come out, come in, and be themselves."
"Thank you MLT, for helping me to speak the truth" - Jodie Foster
"Your music is the reason for my success" - Steve Jobs, circa 2004
"It's because of your song 'You Can Rub One Oout, I'll Wait' that I made the decision to bring the troops home from Iraq" - President Barack Obama
"All the news that's fit to print" - The New York Times
We would like to thank our International fans for their continued support.
Viva La MLT!
NO TV TONIGHT!!: Formed in the beginning of 2012 by founding members Jaime Marcelo and Matt Storm, No TV Tonight!! is a new punk rock band follows in the footsteps of 90s melodic punk rock, with a bit of a modern touch.
The band spent their formative months honing their sound and objective, and putting together what would be their first release, the American Excess EP. The EP was released in July, produced entirely DIY by the band and available on Bandcamp. Here's what some people had to say:
“To put it simply, No TV Tonight!! encompasses a lot of what I miss in just about any contemporary rock genre and the American Excess EP is an awesome, head banging, high-energy record which leans heavily on ageing influences without sounding out-dated. If raw, no-nonsense punk is in any way your thing, do yourself a massive favour and give these guys a shot..”
“NYC’s No TV Tonight is a fantastic reminder of why I was drawn to melodic, dizzying rock and roll in the first place. No TV blend genre lines like an MXPX/Bad Religion hybrid. The melody is there but the edge is razor sharp. Their debut EP, American Excess, is a welcomed burst of energy. [...] Just three songs into their voyage and they come across as a weathered band used to slugging it out on the road 150 days a year. The man in me wants to read a book after getting ready for tomorrow’s work day. The punk kid wants to turn American Excess up and pull a no show in the morning.”
-Shiny Glass Houses
“New York’s No TV Tonight are relatively new to the scene and after listening to their debut EP “American Excess” I can say they’re worthy of looking into.”
Die Pretty: Brother and sister combo Skip and Sarah formed Die Pretty in 2009. Their first release, "Bittersweet" was picked up and released by Unconform Records in 2009 out of Frankfurt, Germany. With great reviews coming out of Europe, a global release on iTunes and through InGroove distribution, Die Pretty was gaining a fan base quickly overseas. Then the label went folded and Die Pretty were left on their own. But the group didn't stop. While playing the NYC and Brooklyn music scene, Die Pretty was discovered by producer/engineer Oliver Straus(Matt and Kim, All Time Low, Cobra Starship, All American Rejects) and starting recording at Mission Sound Studios in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Recently they just finished "Battle Over Brooklyn" their newest EP
Controller : Formed in 2011, Controller is a four piece that crawled out of Long Island City’s crumbling, god-forsaken industrial wasteland in search of power and a loud PA system. They have a raw, propulsive, high-impact live show that loosens lips, tear ducts, pants zippers and wallets, and they hope to meet big wigs who will buy them new guitars and rare champagne. Currently playing dates around Brooklyn, Manhattan and PA, Controller is preparing its first EP.
