ElixirOnMute : Since the age of 11, Jordan has been touring and performing in Europe, the UK, and Canada with seperate projects, as well as the experiences of working with and alongside producers Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack) Anthony Resta (Elton John, Duran Duran, Nuno Bettencourt) and John Ellis (American hi-fi). Being included on FUSE's on demand, the Fox news, and TLC channels, as well as being signed to Indie label PickTheBand as a band member in the group Mindwalk Blvd, are just some of things that had been accomplished during the last few years in the group. First appearing on a record at the age of 5 that went on to sell upwards of 5000 copies, he has been involved in music most of his life. When asked to elaborate on the relationship of film to music, Ferreira says, “Film has been a medium I've wanted to get into for a long time. To me in the right hands, it's probably the most expressive art form. I've got alot of screenplays sitting around, and I'm always making lists of ideas of films to work on. It will happen eventually. The main model that I want for ElixirOnMute is I don't want any restraints. I want to follow what excites me creatively, and have an outlet for it all. At the moment filmmaking and music making are very exciting to me, so I'm planning to put feature films out w/ each record.”

The Juvenals: The Juvenals? Fun, abrasive, melancholic, melodic, catchy. Just swell listening really. Wry. Very wry. Grand panegyrics and mock-heroic epics. Shouting, whispering, caviling and garumphing, sweeping, grooving, mocking, all sly asides, all half-remembered verses, all seemed-like-a-good-idea-at-the-time guitar solos. Psych freak-out barnburners, indie rock slow-builders, bluegrass rave-ups, quiet and hushed folk, tempestuous rags, brutally efficient harmonies, classic rock choruses. Jutting and reckless, consumed and diseased, as pointed and inappropriate and out-of-sorts as a pure soul snaking its way through a callow and feckless age that doesn’t like it very much. But this above all else: catchy. As for you, my friend (and isn't that who this is really about?), you are on the early end of the curve. You get to listen along, blog about it, love them then turn on them, rank their albums against other bands’ they are nothing like based on the calendar year they were released - all while paying for little to nothing! You know the drill. You're tired of the drill. But why not drill along, once more, with us?
