The Academics: The Academics is a musical project headed by brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Adam LaGreca. Their debut CD "Basement Confessions" is now difficult to get your hands on without knowing Adam personally; however, stay tuned for a sophomore effort that will come out in the fall of 2012.
Bryan McCoy & The East River Riders: Bryan McCoy grew up in Oregon singing true american music on grandma's back porch with his family ... Songs by Hank, Townes, Willie, Gram & Emmylou... Now, living in NYC, he has assembled a hard drivin' band that includes some of New York's finest Americana musicians. The East River Riders, who have played in New York many times over the past 3 years, will release their debut album of original Country Rock-Sleepin' Single Drinkin' Doubles, in spring 2012. Giddyup and stay tuned!

  • Smiling Nice

    Smiling Nice

Many moons ago, Sir Nathaniel Matthews and Sir Leonard of Franco sought out to change the world with music. Armed with just a bass, a guitar, some golden pipes, and dashing good looks, the duo spent their time commandeering vans into battle on the West Side Highway and charming lovely women state-wide with their musical ability. Soon they ventured south to the bowels of New Jersey and locked themselves in the Tower of the Cape, where they recorded some tunes. As they progressed, they decided robots were scary and decided to get a real percussionist, planning a tourney to the death for the honor to join them. Eventually they determined that this wasn’t the greatest idea and could probably just ask their companion from college. Squire Christopher joined the band, and they are preparing a collection of tracks to share with the tri-state area starting soon.

  • Anna Rose

    Anna Rose

If New York-based rocker Anna Rose could add a subtitle to her name, she says it would be, “Don’t Let the Name Fool You.” She couldn’t be more right. With that sweet name, the angelic blonde hair, the petite frame and unassuming smile, one might think she’s just another pretty face with a pretty voice who likes to sing pretty songs. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Anna Rose is a spitfire of rock and roll passion, a true guitar head who doesn’t mind getting her fingers bloody, and a mix of Jim Morrison’s sexy bravado with Brigitte Bardot’s seductive stare onstage. It’s the dichotomy of masculine and feminine, retro and modern, strong and vulnerable that makes her sophomore effort, Behold a Pale Horse, a true statement of who she is as a woman, a performer, and an artist.
